Woman dies despite efforts of emergency services after call-out to Leigh Park

Emergency services were sent out to the aid of a woman but she later died in hospital.

Police say they were called to Middle Park Way in Havant at 2.30pm on Monday, to a ‘report of the concern for the welfare of a 59-year-old woman’.

A spokesman said: ‘The woman was transported to Queen Alexandra Hospital where she was sadly later pronounced dead.’

The death is not being treated as suspicious, and police are preparing a file for the coroner in due course.

Residents in the area said they had seen the air ambulance called out to the incident, and that they had also seen several police officers in the areas during the course of the week.
