The newlyweds honeymooned at St Ives, Cornwall, for two weeks and say ‘it was a great week’.
Three years after their wedding, John and Betty had their son Jonathon and then in 1956, Gillian came along.
John and Betty, both 92, now live with their daughter Gillian and son-in-law Bob in Waterlooville. To celebrate their platinum anniversary, they all enjoyed a small party at home.
