Officers that patrol Fratton, Baffins and Nelson executed the warrant in Portchester Road on Friday morning.

They seized more than 500 cannabis plants in various stages of growth.

Hung Vinh Dam, 34, of Porchester Road, Portsmouth has been charged with producing a controlled drug Class B - cannabis.

He appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning.

A spokesman from Hampshire Constabulary said: ‘An investigation is now ongoing into the cultivation of Cannabis.

‘If you have any information that may assist in the disruption of drug related crime, please do not hesitate to report via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers. The more we know, the more action we can take.’
