Police say over-the-limit Hampshire driver lucky to be alive after being flung from Mini as it flipped on A31 at Ringwood

A Mini driver is ‘lucky to be alive’ according to police after being flung from their car as it rolled over on a major Hampshire road.

The incident happened on the A31 at Ringwood, and police posted pictures on Twitter of the dramatic crash.

The driver suffered minor injuries, according to officers.

But police added: ‘Their luck ran out however, when it came to holding a driving licence. The driver also provided a positive breath test.’
